July 14, 2025: Said and Ayman Chabli are sentenced to three months in prison.
July 2, 2025: The Moroccan Association for Human Rights and MENA Rights Group send a communication to several mandate holders under the Special Procedures regarding the situation of Yassine Chabli and his family.
June 28, 2025: Said and Ayman Chabli are charged with contempt of public officials through false statements and unauthorized photography, as well as public intoxication.
June 27, 2025: Said and Ayman Chabli are both arrested.
October 10, 2024: The Ben Guerir Court of First Instance sentences several members of Yassine Chabli’s family following complaints filed by police officers from Ben Guerir, alleging offenses of contempt, disruption of public order, and participation in the organization of unauthorized demonstrations.
2023-2025: The four police officers suspected of involvement in the death in custody of Yassine Chabli are tried before correctional chambers in Marrakesh and Ben Guerir.
December 1, 2022: The King's Attorney General in Marrakech announces that the individuals suspected of being responsible for the death in custody of Yassine Chabli are being prosecuted for “use of violence by a public official in the exercise of his duties against a person” and “involuntary manslaughter due to negligence”.
October 15, 2022: The family launches a public campaign demanding full accountability for Yassine Chabli’s death in custody.
October 7, 2022: Mouad M'barka, Yassine Chabli’s mother, files a murder complaint with the Public Prosecutor in Marrakech.
October 6, 2022: Yassine Chabli is found dead at the Ben Guerir police station, his body bearing signs of torture.
October 5, 2022: Yassine Chabli is arrested by the police in Ben Guerir.
